Praying Scripture: Psalm 28:8-9

There are times when I’m watching the news and I start to feel overwhelmed by all the things going on around us. At those times, I’m reminded that the best thing I can do is pray. One of the ways I like to pray is by using Scripture to guide me.

Today’s prayer is based on Psalm 28:8-9. It’s such a comfort to know we can turn to God to give us strength and refuge, and that when we’re unable to carry on, He’ll carry us.

of Your people;
You are the saving refuge
 of Your anointed;
Save Your people and
bless Your heritage, oh God.
Be our shepherd and
carry us forever.

May you feel God’s presence, strength and love today!

Blessings,

~Terri

  1. Loved this Terri! The power of the prayer. You can’t imagine how many times I’ve prayed to God to help me get out of a jam or for signs on what course of action I should take. My whole family believes in this.
